THE IMPORTANCE OF PROPER MOVEMENT AND MOBILITY Part 2

…..Continued

Lastly, YOUR CORE!! link to core info….Unfortunately, this is not only related to the 6 pack so many people wish they had. Your core refers to all the stabilizing muscles in your body, and work with all your prime movers to keep them strong and preventing you from injury.

Muscle imbalances are the recurring culprit, compensations and poor alignment- without the correct activation of your prime movers-stabilizing muscles take a lot of the strain, become overworked causing poor performance and injury. So if you want to increase your lifespan as an athlete in CrossFit, it is important for you to know your body and feel how it moves, if it feels STOP and address it with your coaches.

Rather build a solid foundation from the beginning with good knowledge, a good understanding of movement and your body. Keep up your mobility and work on core strength. I assure you, this will help you have an awesome, injury-free, fun CrossFit experience and that’s how it is meant to be.
