August 2017 Ex Animo News
Well hello there Xanimals!!! August has just snuck up on as and we thought it was high time we sent you one of our Ex Animo updates. With so much on the go, we wanted to make sure everybody was up to speed!
Firstly, Spring is around the corner!!! Winter is on its way out and it’s time to get those beautiful minds and bodacious bodies in shape with some top class CrossFit and perhaps even a Yoga class class at 16:30 on a Monday! You all know that Yoga came back in May don’t you?
If you have friends who want to get their summer bodies back, send them our way. The best way for them to get started is send us an enquiry through the website and then join us for a beginner class.
There’s also a LOT of movement amongst the coaching team so we thought we could give you the lowdown on that too. We will start with our favourite LollyGagger Steve! Steve has taken an opportunity of a lifetime and is leaving us for Portugal soon! Suppose that’s what happens when you marry into a Portuguese family! Then our gorgeous and talented Joelle Niven has decided that the desert is for her, so she will be setting off on an adventure with her very significant other, Daniel! They’re off to Dubai for the next few years and we are sad to see both Jo and Steve go!
Chins up though – we have gone and added 2 just as awesome members to the coaching team! The gorgeous Tazra Lindsay joined us from Durban a little over a year ago and has decided she wants to boss you all about in the afternoons! Another Mills has joined the coaching team and, no, we aren’t changing our name to Crossfit Ex AniMills. Bryan Mills is Kyle’s younger brother who’s recently qualified and ready to be let loose on the coaching floor. Bryan will also be coaching the teens Crossfit classes that take place on a Saturday at 10am. Please contact him directly to enrol your teen! If you don’t know who any of these people are, shame on you, but also, go stalk them on Facebook!
In other news – The Gorilla Store skipathon will be hosted at our box on 26 August 2017 from around 9am. The entry fee is R150 (or R250 with a skipping rope included). All the funds raised on this day are being donated towards breast cancer research so this is why we are asking you all to dress in pink on the day please! There will be prizes awarded for the best dressed so come along for a morning of fun for a good cause. Finally, in true Ex Animo style, we like to keep things fresh, so we’ve got a new bunch of t-shirts designed and they are on the way!! Keep an eye on the clothes hangers.
