Who is Kids CrossFit for?
Our CrossFit kids program is designed for children between the ages of 5 and 15 years old. In order to provide the best possible experience for your kids, we have decided to run the classes in 2 groups of similar age ranges. The age ranges are kids from the age of 5-9 and kids from the age of 10-15. Any of your kids from the age of 16 upwards are welcome join our conventional CrossFit classes.
About our CrossFit Kids Program
The program teaches good movement throughout childhood which translates into physical literacy, enjoyment of an active lifestyle, enhanced sports performance and improved cognitive functioning. This is an excellent alternative to sedentary entertainment and promotes the overall health of our youth. We focus on balance, co-ordination, agility and flexibility while improving their strength and fitness
About our CrossFit Kids coach
Our coach, Kirstie Mills, is no stranger to the world of CrossFit. Her brothers Kyle and Bryan are also coaches at CrossFit Ex Animo. Kirstie excelled as a swimmer from the age of 5 and as she grew older this inspired her to become a swimming coach. Now with over 10 years of solid experience in teaching kids to move, Kirstie’s passion for all things related to kids has extended into the CrossFit world. Kirstie completed the CrossFit Kids Specialty course 2 years ago and is certified by CrossFit inc to train kids from the ages 3 – 18. We think that because Kirstie still believes she’s a mermaid your kids are in the safest hands! Getting fit has never been this fun!!!
